Historic Summer Dance Workshop

I attended New York Baroque Dance Company’s Historical Summer Dance Workshop at Goucher College this weekend. In one Saturday, we experienced four centuries of dancing from Ragtime era One-step and Fox-trot to the Grand Polanaise of 1800s, from Jean Pierre Dubreil’s La Hessoise Darmstat to John Playfold’s Newcastle of 1651. We ended the night with the Playford Country Dance and Music Party.
