House-Warming BBQ

Julia and Edgar threw a house-warming BBQ this weekend. We had burgers, salads, sweet corns, sangrias, cookies… and laughters and games for much of the afternoon. The temperamental weather that cycled between sunshine and downpour did not dampen the party a bit. I had a chance to meet many of Julia’s friends as well the honor of being the first to stay in the new and lovely guest room. :)

Edgar serving delicious burgers. Manuel dutifully guarding the grill
in the rain. Home-made sangria by Julia. Julia serving freshly-baked almond cookies.

Carlos enjoying his burger.
Everyone hanging out in the living room.
Playing Mexican train.
Lina, Manuel, Sammy solving puzzles.
“Oh noes this is too frustrating!”

Happy and proud homeowners at the end of the rainbow

On my second day in Hamilton, Julie and Edgar took me to Niagara Falls — my first trip to the famous Canadian landmark!

Historic Summer Dance Workshop »

Four centuries of dancing from One-step and Fox-trot to the Grand Polanaise, from Jean Pierre Dubreil’s La Hessoise Darmstat to John Playfold’s Newcastle of 1651. We ended the night with the Playford Country Dance and Music Party.
