Bryan, Glen, Jenny, Daniel, Debra, and I went to the Kites Festival by the Berkeley Marina.

Somehow the five-year-old kids were able to fly their kites higher and better than we did. After a few failed attempts to back-engineer how to operate a kite, Dan decided to try some “social engineering” instead — handing the kite to the kids and have them get the kite up in the air for us. It worked!

Bryan, Glen, and I also had fun testing out our DSLRs on the kites.
